SCREW SCREEN

Sieves/screens separate and compact the solids found in wastewater discharged by municipal and industrial installations. The water passes through the screen and solids retained by the screen grid are conveyed by a shaftless screw conveyor to a discharge chute.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

  • The screen comprises:
    • a Johnson mesh or perforated sheet metal screening basket
    • a tubular or “U” shaped transport zone with a shaftless screw conveyor
    • a discharge zone
    • a gear motor
    • an adjustable stand

SPECIFICATIONS

  • With the completely watertight stainless steel tank model, installation is possible without a concrete channel.
  • The tank is equipped with an intake and a flanged bypass.
  • A lateral tank with manual screen is available as an option.
  • The waste is compacted in the compacting zone and evacuated via a hopper.
  • AISI 304L or 316L special stainless steel (extra hard) or 304L/316L stainless steel screw conveyor
  • Throughput: up to 1000 m3/h
  • Cleaning of sieve basket: bolted brushes
  • Transport zone length: variable
  • Sieve basket mesh:
    – perforated sheet metal Ø 3 – 10 mm
    – Johnson mesh 0.25 – 3 mm
